Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner. This author is definitely the cream of the crop when it comes to chick lit. This book was actually more than just a crappy wish-fulfillment romance.
The Assistants by Robin Lynn Williams. All about Hollywood assistants- assistants to stars, publicists, producers, etc. Very funny- made me grateful I'm not one.
Locust: The Devastating Rise and Mysterious Disappearance of the Insect That Shaped the American Frontier by Jeffrey Lockwood. More interesting than it sounds. Actually, it's fascinating, if you can believe it.
The Egyptologist by Arthur Phillips. So far, hard to put down- but initially difficult to read as it's all told in letters and journal-type entries by different characters. You're very aware that these letters reflect the characters' own foibles and points of view, which provides insight into the characters, of course, but sometimes it becomes difficult because there's no clear narrative voice I feel I can "trust" as a reader.
Sarah....can you send me that assistants book when you are done with it? I have a...uh...big need to read it.
After waiting a month to post you give us that shit! How very uninteresting! Dead to me!
